Into the Open: A Conversation About Affordable Educational Resources

Event flyer featuring three students titled “Into the Open: A Conversation About Affordable Educational Resources.”.

Being an undergraduate student means balancing academics with fun, but what about the financial pressure a student faces? Maybe you find out you need a new textbook, or maybe you realize you don’t have all your lab safety attire for a course this term. Unexpected expenses, alongside everyday spending, can contribute to financial strain.

With Open Educational Resources (OER), you can access affordable educational resources to reduce your academic costs. You can access resources such as textbooks or course materials in different formats and completely free-of-charge.

Affordability is not always about costs – it is also about your ability to feel prepared when you’re faced with tough financial decisions. What if there was an interactive workshop that teaches you how to deal with financial emergencies, manage debt, and prepare for major or unexpected life events? Our In the Black: Money, Anxiety, & Decision-making sessions are just the thing you can use to develop practical tools that help you tackle these situations.

In October, there are two ways you can take charge of your financial decisions with ease:
