Wrapping Up the 2024-25 Governance Year

Your 2024-25 WUSA President, Nick Pfeifle, and Vice President, Arya Razmjoo have wrapped up their term. After an incredible year full of different wins, challenges, and everything in between, they’re ready to pass the baton to incoming President, Damian Mikhail, and Vice President, Remington Zhi.

As they conclude their term as President and Vice President of WUSA, they reflect on a year filled with advocacy, community-building, and meaningful progress to improve the student experience at Waterloo.

You can read more about what WUSA accomplished in the last year by reading our Annual Plan Recap. Stay tuned for the 2024-25 Impact Report, which will come out later this year and gives a comprehensive overview of what was done in the last year.

A Note from Arya

As we reach the end of another academic year, I want to take a moment to reflect on everything we’ve accomplished as a student body—and to say thank you. This year has been filled with challenges, growth, and countless moments of resilience. Through it all, you’ve shown what it means to be part of the Waterloo community: innovative, determined, and driven to make a difference.

It’s been a privilege to serve as your Vice President and to advocate for your needs, priorities, and vision for a stronger, more student-focused campus. Whether it’s improving student supports, advancing policy change, or building community across our faculties, your voices have shaped every step.

To those graduating, congratulations! Your impact on this university will be felt long after you leave. And to those returning, we’ve got more work ahead—and I can’t wait to keep building with you. Wishing you all a restful, safe, and joyful summer.

In solidarity,

Arya Razmjoo

Vice President, Waterloo Undergraduate Student Association

Arya was re-elected as a Director for the 2025-26 term! We’re looking forward to seeing how he continues to drive the direction of WUSA in this new position.
