Co-op Fee Increase Rolled Back

The Office of Cooperative and Experiential Education (CEE) recently proposed a 10% increase to the co-op fee which, as of earlier this week, has been rolled back to a 4% increase for 2025-26. This is thanks to the work of students, including your WUSA Directors and President and the VPAs of our Societies. You can learn more about the increase on the University’s website.

There are still many ways the co-op program can improve and WUSA is committed to ensuring the University hears the voices and concerns of students. Your feedback matters in setting the cost of your education. One of the ways we’re planning to share your voice with the University is a survey on the co-op program through our Representative Survey Platform (RSP) in 2025. We hope the results will provide valuable insights that we can share with the University and CEE.

We encourage you to share your thoughts on the co-op program with the University and CEE at Share your co-op experience | Co-operative Education | University of Waterloo.
