WUSA x UWaterloo Dillon Francis Concert Recap
Did you know that we had our first concert on campus for the first time in YEARS? On September 7, THOUSANDS of UWaterloo students flocked to North Campus to kick-start their semester.
A super fun and unforgettable experience was promised, and dare we say – we delivered. With the two talented openers, Tys Loyens and TwentyFiveRoses, setting the stage to get our students pumped and in anticipation for our headliner. When the lights dimmed, the crowd quieted down for the first time that evening, almost as if we all took in one collective breath. The silence may have been loud, but the energy in the air was louder. That’s when Dillon Francis stepped onto the stage and began to amp up the crowd The light show, smoke machines, and glowsticks added to the aesthetic. Combined with the energetic dancing and cheers, our photographers and videographers got a lot of cool footage.
Our VP Arya was one of the attendees and in his words, “I couldn’t feel my ears by the end of it [from the cold], but it was so worth it.” Not to mention, our President Nick found the concert as “a way to touch grass” after a long week getting settled into the new semester.
