We’ve got an update for you on fees for the Fall 2021 term. To make fees easier to understand, introduce a more transparent fee structure, and reduce total cost to you, WUSA fees will move to a compulsory model.

After changing to an optional fee model in 2019 and reviewing its effectiveness over the past 2 years, Students’ Council has voted to bring back our previous compulsory fee structure. The new structure groups fees into 3 more easily understandable categories that ensure we maximize affordability, transparency, and consistent service to all students.

WUSA fees help provide the services, support, and resources students need to have a fulfilling time at Waterloo. We support over 200 clubs and 12+ services in addition to advocating for students with the University, provincial, and federal governments.
