University of Waterloo Orientation with school mascot holding a football and students dressed in black and gold

Waterloo Orientation welcomes you to campus!

All students beginning their first year of undergraduate studies in fall 2021 will get to participate in a virtual Orientation! If you have any questions, please visit this website.

Each term, we join forces with a number of other University departments to welcome new students to the UWaterloo community through Orientation events and programming.

Orientation events are organized by student leaders and are designed to help prepare first-year students for academic, cultural, and social success. We aim to create an inclusive community that values interconnection, diversity, and independence.

Through events like Warrior Welcome, Black & Gold Day, and Single & Sexy, Orientation is a fun, supportive, and informative way to transition new students and to encourage first-years to feel a sense of belonging and pride in our Warrior community.
