As-is Auction Bikes

Looking for a fun project this summer? We’ll also be auctioning off “As-Is” bikes, a new addition to this year’s Bike Auction.

Each one has been examined and diagnosed by our team, with a list of needed repairs posted alongside. Whether you enjoy hands-on repair work or want to pick up a new skill, these are a great option. Bring it to the Bike Centre to work on it with support from our team and make use of the free tools*.

Own a bike already

Come anyway! Drop by to register your bike with Project 529 for free (bring your bike), get a discounted bike lock, watch the auction, and learn about the Bike Centre and other on-campus resources.

FAQs

Can I preview the bikes before the auction starts?

• Yes! Bikes will be available to view before the auction begins, with information about each bike posted alongside.

How does bidding work?

• Bidding price for repaired bikes start at $20.
• Bids must increase in whole dollar amounts, with a minimum raise of $1.

If I buy a bike, can I come back later to pick it up?

• Winners must pay and collect their bike at the end of the auction.

What if it rains?

• In the event of rain or severe weather, event details may change. Check this page for the most up-to-date information.

Do I need to register or sign up in advance, or just show up?

• Just show up, Come early as there are limited bikes and they go fast

Good to Know

The auction is held outdoors, come dressed for the weather and bring a water bottle to stay hydrated!
