Come honour. Come remember. Come stand together.
Join the Glow Centre for Trans Day of Remembrance (TDOR) as we honour transgender and gender diverse people whose lives have been lost to anti-trans violence. This is a space to grieve, reflect, and be in a community with one another.
- Take part in a memorial vigil
- Pause together for a moment of silence
- If you’d like, write a message of remembrance, hope, or solidarity on a paper butterfly. The butterflies will become a collective display in the Great Hall after the event.
Whether you’re coming to show support, to reflect, or just to be there, we’re glad you’re with us.
This is an in-person event, and no registration is required. All are welcome: University of Waterloo students, staff, faculty, and the wider 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Light refreshments will be served while supplies last.
Accessibility note: If you require any accommodations to fully participate in this event, please reach out to us.
