The GlamourGals at the University of Waterloo chapter will be visiting Chartwell Clair Hills Retirement Residence for an afternoon of connection, conversation, and complimentary beauty services. Student volunteers will provide residents with light makeovers, manicures, and engaging activities that promote self-expression, confidence, and joy. The goal of the visit is to foster meaningful intergenerational connections and help reduce social isolation among older adults. Volunteers will spend time getting to know residents, listening to their stories, and creating a welcoming, supportive environment.
All volunteers will follow the GlamourGals Foundation’s health and safety guidelines, including the use of disposable, single-use beauty applicators and any site-specific protocols established by the long-term care home.
