WUSA Elections Voter Sweepstakes: Official Contest Rules
- Eligibility:
- Open to all undergraduate students currently enrolled at the University of Waterloo who are eligible voters in the WUSA General Election.
- Participants must be legal residents of Ontario and have reached the age of majority.
- WUSA employees, Board members, and their immediate family members are not eligible.
- Contest Period:
- Begins on February 3, 2026, 12:00 AM and ends on February 5, 2026, 11:59 PM.
- How to Enter:
- No purchase is necessary to enter or win. Email a28javed@wusa.ca to be entered without voting.
- Eligible students automatically enter the sweepstakes upon submitting their vote for the WUSA Elections on vote.wusa.ca within the contest period. For an additional entry into the draw, eligible students must complete the exit survey after voting.
- Limit of 2 entries per student.
- Prizes:
- First Place Prize: One lucky winner will take home either a MacBook Air 13.6 or a Dell XPS 13.
- Second Place Prize: The runner up will take home an iPad, 11 in.
- Third Place Prize: The third place winner will take home a $200 Visa Gift Card.
- Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
- Winner Selection and Winner Notification:
- The winners will be selected in a random draw from all eligible entries.
- The winners will be contacted via their uWaterloo email address.
- The winners must follow our Instagram (@yourWUSA) to win their prize.
- Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
- Failure to respond within the deadline may result in forfeiture of the prize.
- Conditions of Participation:
- By entering, participants agree to abide by the contest rules and decisions of the WUSA election committee, which are final on all matters pertaining to the contest.
- Privacy:
- Personal information collected from entrants will be used by WUSA to administer the contest and prize fulfillment.
- Limitation of Liability:
- WUSA is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the contest.
- Governing Law:
- The contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.
- Amendments:
- WUSA reserves the right to amend the contest rules or terminate the contest at any time without liability to any entrant.
