If you are looking for some un-boo-lievable beats – you can check out the UW DJ club! This Halloween, the UW DJ club is transforming the SLC Student Lounge into a spook-tacular club – The gRAVEyard. Here, you can listen to club classics, house music, and techno beats alongside the talented Waterloo DJs. For more information, make sure to follow @uwaterloodj on Instagram – this is an event you will not want to miss!
For an immersive and thrilling Halloween experience, you can take a trip with WUSA to Canada’s Wonderland’s Halloween Haunt. WUSA will be taking a trip to the exhilarating theme park-turned-scream park – with rides, creepy characters, and many chills and thrills for all the adrenaline seekers at Waterloo.
For those who are passionate about more ghoulish adventures, you can head to The Princess Cinema in Uptown Waterloo to get a good fright. The Princess Cinema will be playing scary movies such as A Nightmare on Elm Street, Carrie, The Shining, and many more scary classics! And since it’s the Cinema, you can have both a trick and a treat!
Looking for some BOO-tiful new clothes to wear this Halloween? WUSA Thrift will be hosting a Halloween sidewalk sale dedicated to both creepy and cute costumes, and accessories to complete your Halloween outfit! Not only can you be the best dressed this October, but you can also help the planet by shopping secondhand!
If you enjoy more treat than trick, Flock Stop will ensure that your sweet cravings are satisfied with their Halloween themed donuts. Additionally, WUSA Mates will be hosting a creepy game night on October 30th. This game night will be full of games, movies, snacks, and a mystery!
While you are having some Halloween fun, remember to be cognizant of your surroundings, stay in groups, and ensure that you are looking out for those around you. With most Halloween activities happening at night, and 16% of students feeling more unsafe after dark, it is important that you celebrate Halloween responsibly. Remember, the Red Zone period is still ongoing—check out our Red Zone page for resources to help keep yourself and others safe.
Here at WUSA, we wish you all a spooktacular and safe Halloween, and we look forward to seeing you at these events!
