Smarty Party Giveaway Rules

Eligibility: 

Open to all undergraduate students currently enrolled at the University of Waterloo. Participants must be legal residents of Ontario and have reached the age of majority. WUSA employees, Board members, and their immediate family members are not eligible.  

Contest Period: 

Begins on June 18, 2025, at 12:00 PM and ends on June 18, 2025, at 4:00 PM. The winner will be contacted on or before July 4, 2025. 

 How to Enter: 

No purchase is necessary to enter or win. Students can enter by tapping their WatCard at the Smarty Party booth, can win additional entries by winning the skill-based games during the event, and/or by filling out the feedback form.  

 Prizes: 

One winner will win all the following items:  

• 1 Unicorn plush 
• Candy (1 packs of Chupa Chups) 
• 1 Smarty Party tote bag 
• 1 Popsicle maker 
• 1 beach towel 
• Coupons – to share with your friends!  
  • 3 free ice creams 
  • 3 free parfaits 
  • 3 milkshakes 
  • 3 parfaits 
  • 3 free topping coupons 

Winner Selection and Winner Notification: 

The winner will be selected in a random draw from all eligible entries. The winner will be contacted via their uWaterloo email address. The winner must follow our Instagram (@yourWUSA) to win their prize! This contest is administered by WUSA and is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Instagram. The winner must answer a skill-testing question to get their prize. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Winners must respond within 48 hours of notification. Failure to respond within the deadline may result in forfeiture of the prize.  

Conditions of Participation: 

By entering, participants agree to abide by the contest rules which are final on all matters pertaining to the contest.  

Privacy: 

Personal information collected from entrants will be used by WUSA to administer the contest and prize fulfillment. For more information, see Privacy Policy – Waterloo Undergraduate Student Association. 

Limitation of Liability: 

WUSA is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the contest.  

Governing Law: 

The contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.  

Amendments: 

WUSA reserves the right to amend the contest rules or terminate the contest at any time without liability to any entrant.
