The Iranian Students' Association of Waterloo aims to unite the Iranian and non-Iranian students of the University of Waterloo and other universities through cultural events and gatherings. Due to the current circumstances in Afghanistan, Canada will be accepting 40,000 refugees from Afghanistan to seek refuge from the Taliban Rule. Canada is focusing on bringing and looking for expanded resettlement efforts which will focus on women, girls, LGBTQ Afghans, and people belonging to ethnic and religious minorities, which has been targeted by the Taliban in the past. These individuals are coming to Canada in a difficult time without many belongings and we hope that this donation initiative would ease their transition to Canada. Due to harsh winters, winter clothes would be beneficial to the families and food gift cards would allow them to purchase items of their choice. We are partnering with The Waterloo Region Immigration Partnership and Kitchener waterloo community foundation, who are working towards providing the refugees with resources the need to settle in. Your donations would go towards supporting the cause and help make a difference in your community. Thank you for your support and feel free to share the donation page to your family and friends. -
