Step into the courtroom and experience the intensity, strategy, and rigor of a real legal contest. The 2026 Black and Gold Invitational Mock Trial Tournament brings together talented student advocates who will argue both sides of a fictional, student-written legal case before a panel of judges and legal professionals.

Teams of four to six competitors are guaranteed three trials on the first day of competition. Following preliminary rounds, the top eight teams will advance to a second day of single-elimination, tournament-style rounds to determine the final standings.

Competitors can expect fast-paced courtroom exchanges, compelling witness testimony, and thoughtful judicial questioning throughout the event. Whether you are a student considering law school, a supporter of competitive academics, or simply curious about courtroom advocacy, this tournament offers an engaging and educational experience.

Join us for a weekend of competition, advocacy, and intellectual rivalry as teams compete for rankings, awards, and the opportunity to be crowned champions. Court is now in session.
