Hello!

Thanks for your interest in connecting with Waterloo undergrads! This guide explains what WUSA can and cannot do to help share your message.

We’re often asked to help share content from staff, faculty, community groups, and more. While we love promoting initiatives that benefit students, we follow specific guidelines to avoid overwhelming our student community.

We typically collaborate with:
  • WUSA affiliates:
  • University Departments
  • Approved Sponsors
  • Academic or research projects that are non-commercial and relevant to undergraduates

If you do not fit one of these categories, your best options are our Poster Run or our Digital Screens (see below).

Advertising Channels

We manage several high-traffic screens in the Student Life Centre (SLC).

  • How to submit: Use the Digital Screen Request Form
  • Cost: Free. Must meet quality/design standards.
  • Specs: Follow the format, size, and timing listed on the form

Meet students in the busiest building on campus. The Student Life Centre (SLC) is the heart of campus with booths located next to our food court. Perfect for vendors and organizations looking to connect with students.

  • All rentals include power, Wi-Fi, tables and chairs.
  • Rental rates vary by semester.

To secure your spot, email our bookings team.

The WUSA Poster Run is the best way to promote your events, opportunities, and messages. You provide the printed poster design, and we distribute it to key bulletin boards for a small fee that covers the Poster Runner—our student staff.

Can WUSA Share My Content on Social Media? Usually no, unless it’s:

  • A WUSA-run or affiliated event
  • From a WUSA club, service, society, or board-endorsed campaign

Exceptions are rare and reviewed case-by-case.

If you’re not affiliated with WUSA, it’s best to use our Poster Run or our Digital Screens.

Imprint reaches over 30,000+ readers on campus and nearby communities.

You can promote volunteer or paid roles via the Poster Run or our Digitial Screens.

Can WUSA Promote My Event or Campaign?

If you’re WUSA-affiliated (club/service/society), please submit your event via JIRA.

If not affiliated, we cannot promote your event directly, but the Poster Run and Digital Screens are great alternatives.

We are currently working on a webpage dedicated to ways our students can give feedback.
