Register now for safeTALK training! Only $15 for Waterloo Undergraduate Students (regular price $80)

What is safeTALK?

Suicide Alertness for Everyone (SAFE) is a half-day, interactive training that teaches four basic steps to recognize when someone may be thinking about suicide and how to connect them with suicide helping resources.

Why attend safeTALK?

Most people with thoughts of suicide invite help. Often these opportunities are missed, dismissed or avoided—leaving people more alone and at greater risk. safeTALK training prepares you to help by using TALK (Tell, Ask, Listen and KeepSafe) to identify and engage people with thoughts of suicide and to connect them with further help and care.

Students who attend the training will receive a certificate of completion upon completion of the training.

Limited spots are available. Register below to secure your place!

⚠️ Accessibility note: If you require accommodations or support to participate, please contact us in advance.

Questions related to the event? Email mates@wusa.ca

Training is open to all UWaterloo Staff/Faculty/Grad Students.
