Get ready for two days of high-level advocacy, competition, and connection at the Waterloo Cup—an immersive intercollegiate moot experience that takes teams from preliminary rounds to a championship final. Tickets are per team, only one person per team needs to purchase the tickets.
The competition unfolds over two days:

Day 1 (January 10)
Teams will compete in four non-elimination preliminary rounds, giving every competitor multiple opportunities to argue, refine their advocacy skills, and receive feedback from experienced judges.

The day concludes with a banquet-style awards and networking evening, bringing competitors together with members of the legal community in a celebratory setting (competitors only).

Day 2 (January 11)
The stakes rise as the top eight teams advance to the Quarterfinals, followed by the Semifinals and Final Round, where the strongest advocates face off for the Waterloo Cup title.

Whether you’re a law student, aspiring advocate, or simply curious about mooting, spectators are welcome to attend and observe rounds on both days, including the high-stakes elimination and final rounds. Please note that the banquet is reserved for registered competitors and invited guests only.
