December Membership Email Giveaway

Tell us your favourite study song for a chance to win a $250 giftcard of your choice! 

No purchase necessary. Entrants must complete the entry form and answer the question “What is your favourite study song?” and provide their WatIAM to enter.  

1. How to Enter

Complete the official entry form and answer the required question: “What is your favourite study song?”  and provide your WatIAM.

Limit of one (1) entry per person. 

Any entrant who attempts or is suspected of attempting to enter using robotic, automatic, or fraudulent methods will have their entries voided. Hate or hurtful speech, bullying, and/or harassment will result in disqualification from this contest and potentially from future contests held by @yourWUSA or any affiliated WUSA social accounts. 

2. Eligibility

The contest is open to all current University of Waterloo undergraduate students. Participants must be legal residents of Ontario and have reached the age of majority. WUSA employees, Board members, and their immediate family members are not eligible. 

3. Giveaway Entry Dates

The contest is open from December 1, 2025, 9:00 AM EST to December 4, 2025, 11:59 PM EST.
Only entries submitted during the valid contest period will be accepted. 

4. Description of Prize

One (1) winner will receive: 

• $250 Gift Card
  Approx. Retail Value: $250 

Prize is subject to availability at the time the winner is selected. The winner will be able to select from the gift cards available on Amazon.ca.  

5. Procedure for Awarding Prize

Within three (3) business days after the giveaway closes, a random draw will be conducted by a WUSA staff member from all eligible entries to select one (1) winner. 

The selected entrant will be notified by email within three (3) business days of the contest closing. 

A WUSA staff member will ask for your name, WatIAM, University of Waterloo email address, and will require you to correctly answer a mandatory mathematical skill-testing question. 

Once verified, the entrant will be declared the winner, subject to meeting all contest conditions. 

If the selected winner: 

• cannot be reached within 48 hours, 

• fails to correctly answer the mathematical skill-testing question, or 

• declines the prize, 

…the prize will be forfeited and WUSA may, at its sole discretion, conduct a new draw from remaining eligible entries. 

6. General

Entries must be submitted using the official entry form. Entries in any other format will not be accepted. 

To be declared a winner, the selected entrant must first correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question. 

This contest is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by any external company or social media platform. 

Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the contest period. Any entries that are incomplete, illegible, tampered with, or otherwise do not meet contest rules may be disqualified. 

Hate speech, bullying, and harassment of any kind will not be tolerated and will result in disqualification. 

All personal information collected by WUSA is used solely for administering this contest and will not be used for any other purpose without express consent. 

By entering, you agree to abide by all contest rules. This contest is void where prohibited by law.
