January Board Meeting Recap

January’s Board meeting was held on January 30. Below is a brief summary of the key decisions that the Board made at this meeting!  

• A date was set for the General Meeting! It will be held on March 26 at 5 PM. Stay tuned to our Events page for more details closer to. A notice was sent to all members, but if you missed it, you can read it here.  
  • The deadline to submit a motion is Friday, February 14 at 5 PM.  
• Board approved a new committee appointment to fill a vacancy on the Governance Committee 
• There was discussion of adding another general meeting in the Spring or Fall terms, which was tabled for further discussion at February’s meeting. We’ll have to wait and see what they decide. 
• Board also discussed the turnaround time for inquiries sent to WUSA to find areas for improvement.  
• Director Zhu brought forward a motion to change how directors receive their honorariums. It outlined more specific details about the work Directors are doing and having the honoraria reflect the amount of time Directors are putting into their roles.
