Feedback – Gift Card Contest rules – Winter 2025
Welcome to the official rules page for your chance to win a $50 e-gift card.
1. HOW TO ENTER
No purchase necessary.
1.1 Complete the feedback form to receive an entry in the contest.
Participants may submit multiple entries, with each entry representing a different visit throughout the month. Any automated methods will be void.
If entrants attempt or are suspected of attempting to enter using robotic, automatic, programmed or any entry methods not authorized by these rules, it shall be deemed as tampering and will void said entries. Hate or hurtful speech, bullying, and/or harassment will result in a ban from the contest and potentially future contests held by the WUSA or any affiliated WUSA groups.
2. ELIGIBILITY
2.1 The contest is open exclusively to current University of Waterloo undergraduates.
2.2 Undergraduate students who are on a co-op term or not actively enrolled in classes are still welcome to enter.
3. CONTEST PERIOD
3.1 The contest will run from February 5th, 2025 until February 28th, 2025.
4. JUDGING & AWARDING PRIZES
On March 5th, 2025, a random draw will be conducted by a WUSA staff member to pick from among all eligible entries. One winner will receive a $50 gift card.
4.1 The winner will be notified that their name was selected via email by March 5th, 2025.
4.2 A WUSA staff member will ask for your name, WatIAM and UWaterloo email address, and to correctly answer the mandatory mathematical skill-testing question.
4.3 After confirming that the student is eligible based off the criteria above, they will be declared the winner.
4.4 If the winner cannot be reached within 48 hours following the first attempt of contact, incorrectly answers the mathematical skill-testing question, or declines the prize, the prize shall be forfeited and WUSA has the right, at its sole discretion, to select another winner by following the procedure as outlined above.
5. PRIZE DETAILS
5.1 One winner will be awarded a $50 e-gift card.
6. GENERAL
6.1. Entries should be submitted through the official feedback form. Alternate submissions will not be valid.
6.2. All winners will be required to answer a mathematical skill-testing question.
6.3. This contest isn’t associated with or endorsed by any other social media platform.
6.4. Chances of winning depends on the total eligible entries received and their quality.
6.5. Hate or hurtful speech, bullying, and/or harassment within the feedback form will result in disqualification and a ban from future contests.
6.6. Personal details collected are solely for the purpose of the contest and will not be used otherwise.
6.7. By submitting your entry, you allow Waterloo Undergraduate Student Association (WUSA) to use the photos, feedback and comments submitted through the form on the website, social media platforms, as well as other promotional materials.
6.8. Participation in the contest indicates agreement to these contest rules.
