June in brief

Published: Tuesday, June 6, 2023

Welcome to June! We hope you are enjoying the sunny weather and staying hydrated!

With June comes Pride Month and National Indigenous History Month.

Glow Centre kicks off Pride Month with a ribbon cutting ceremony for the Gender Neutral Washrooms. Glow is also organizing a round-trip transportation from the UW Campus to Toronto for Pride Toronto 2023. Also keep an eye out while walking across campus for the rainbow walkways outside the Dana Porter Library and main campus entrances!

June is National Indigenous History Month and to celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day, the Office of Indigenous Relations welcomes you to spend time with the UWaterloo Indigenous community on June 21st. All UWaterloo First Nations, Métis, and Inuit students, staff, and faculty are welcome!

The Special General Meeting for July has been set. Submit motions for the agenda before June 21, 2023 by visiting the link at the start of this section.

We’re hiring! View our available part-time and volunteer positions and apply today.
