Agenda

  1. Call to Order
  2. Territorial Acknowledgement
  3. Approval of the Agenda – Agenda (PDF)
  4. Approval of New WUSA Bylaws – WUSA By-Laws 2022 (PDF)
  5. Member Proposal on COVID-19 Public Health Measures
  6. Adjournment

Students’ Council and the Board of Directors have approved the new WUSA governing model. Now we need our members, Waterloo Undergrads to ratify the new bylaws so we can move forward in a way that better supports our members.

Our new governance structure will have a 13-member Board of Directors, including a President and a Vice President. All of these positions will be elected annually, ideally starting this spring! This is where you come in…

Before we hold an election, WUSA members must ratify the bylaws by voting online at the Special General Meeting. The more active you are in your student association, the better we can support your needs as a Waterloo undergrad.

Members are also entitled to submit proposals for consideration at the SGM. If there’s something you believe students should discuss, please send an email to pres@wusa.ca AND chair@wusa.ca by Monday, May 9 at 11:59PM EDT.

Wednesday, May 25th 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Proxy Your Vote

Students who are unable to attend the WUSA Special General Meeting are entitled to proxy their vote to another individual to vote on their behalf. Those who want to proxy their vote may indicate a specific person they want to hold their proxy; otherwise, WUSA will randomly assign proxy votes to members of Students’ Council according to constituency. Proxy holders are compelled to vote according to the indicated preference of the person for whom they are proxying.
