First Year Fair – New students, this one’s for you!
Being a new student at the University of Waterloo can bring a lot of mixed emotions as you navigate campus and classes for the first time. Don’t fret! Your Waterloo Undergraduate Student Association is here to help! We’re hosting the First Year Fair on Thursday, September 8th to give new WUSA Members (Waterloo undergrads) a chance to get to know us better and learn about how we can support and enhance your Waterloo undergraduate experience.
You can chat with student-run services and businesses to learn more about how WUSA can improve the quality of your undergrad life. The day will be filled with student-run booths, free food, and entertainment. Keep an eye out for the full line up of attractions on the WUSA event’s page.
Services, Clubs & Fun
In the meantime, if you want to learn about our 13-student run services or connect with one of our peer support coordinators visit the WUSA student services page.
Looking to meet new friends and connect with likeminded people? We have over 200 clubs that are looking for new students to join! Check out the WUSA Clubs page to explore the different clubs available.
You can also check out the WUSA events page for upcoming events for a chance to have some fun and meet new people. Don’t forget, Welcome Week events are scheduled for next week and these are open to all Waterloo undergrads.
Jobs & Advocacy
Affordability is important to us, and so is ensuring student voices are heard. We offer all kinds of job opportunities through WUSA. Check out the Jobs & Opportunities page for details and apply today!
Along with building community and creating fun, we also advocate for a better student experience. If you’re unsatisfied with any aspect of your new UWaterloo life, we would like to hear your feedback so we can help advocate for change. Email exec@wusa.ca to get in touch. This is what the WUSA Board of Directors is here for.
Curious about how we advocate on your behalf to enhance your student experience? Check out our advocacy page today to learn more about our current initiatives.
