Finding a place to live is challenging enough without the added stress of rent costs, living conditions, and everyday expenses. On top of that, students sometimes navigate what extra charges a landlord can or can’t impose, their responsibilities as tenants, and the rights they have in the space they pay for—whether it’s a room, apartment, or house.
Renting can be complicated, but you don’t have to figure it out alone—WUSA is here to help.
We’ve teamed up with Waterloo Region Community Legal Services (WRCLS) to offer free legal support clinics to help you get the clarity you need.
Join us for a Zoom session that includes:
- A 50-minute presentation covering key legal topics that impact students directly
- A 10-minute Q&A to ask any general questions
- Five one-on-one consultations with a qualified lawyer from WRCLS after the presentation for more personalized advice
👉To sign up for a one-on-one consultation, email David at drkuhn@wusa.ca with the subject line “WCRLS Legal Session: Consultation Booking” with your name and request to book a consultation. Spots for the one-on-one consultations are limited!
