Seed Ball Making Workshop

October 10 @ 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM EDT

Thursday, October 10 from 6:30pm-8:00pm in the EV1 TREE Lab (EV1 136).

Participants will be joining UW Campus Compost for a short seed ball presentation and have the opportunity to make their own seedball at our Seed Ball Making Workshop. Participants will be working with soil, compost, clay, and native seeds to form into balls, which will dry overnight in the TREE Lab and will be picked up by the participants the next day.

The event will be ticketed at $2 for UWCC volunteers/members and $4 for non-volunteers/members. The ticket will be the price for five seed balls (or materials enough to make five seed balls).

Our Services

WUSA recognizes that much of the work we do happens on the traditional territory of the neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. The land we work on is covered by the Between the Lakes Treaty, No. 3 (1792), and this region is still home to First Nation, Inuit, and Metis peoples from across Turtle Island. We are grateful to have the opportunity to work, play and live on this land and acknowledge that it is our collective responsibility to make our community and world a better place for all people. We acknowledge that educational institutions have not been a safe space for Indigenous students in the past and we continue to work to ensure that this is no longer the case.
