Jack Talk by jack.org

The Jack Talk is a mental health presentation facilitated by two trained and experienced youth speakers that covers the following topics:

  1.  Strategies for being there for others. Topics include: How to be there for others who are struggling with their mental health (through 5 Golden Rules), how to effectively initiate a conversation when concerned about another’s mental health, how to connect others to help, how to set appropriate boundaries, how to respond in a crisis.
  2. Strategies for being there for ourselves. Topics include: Self-awareness, emotional regulation, self-compassion, resilience, self-care, recognizing signs and symptoms of a mental health struggle, and coping strategies.

Jack.org is Canada’s only charity training and empowering young leaders to revolutionize mental health in every province and territory. Through Jack Talks,
Jack Chapters, and Jack Summits, young leaders identify and dismantle barriers to positive mental health in their communities. This movement is powered by tens of thousands of advocates and allies across every province and territory of Canada. And we’re just getting started.
