As the collective voice of undergraduate students at the University of Waterloo, WUSA is dedicated to advocating for students, improving services, and building a strong campus community. This year, we made significant strides in areas like mental health, housing, gender equity, and accessible governance. We worked on initiatives like the Housing Playbook, mental health programs, and free legal support, while also expanding student spaces and services, such as the Lounge on 3 and SmashBites.
WUSA’s advocacy efforts focused on key issues such as student safety, inclusion, and support for housing and transit. Additionally, our governance initiatives boosted student leadership participation, and our election saw record-breaking voter turnout.
Our commitment to enhancing the student experience continued with engaging events, expanding services like FedBus, and the introduction of innovative programs like the Representative Survey Platform, allowing us to gather and act on student feedback more effectively than ever before.
This report highlights WUSA’s ongoing efforts to serve and empower students, shaping a better university experience for all.
