Service Description: The International & Canadian Student Network is a WUSA student-run service on campus. If you’re seeking to have a great experience at uWaterloo beyond academics and beyond borders, then this is the service for you! We aim to make all local, international and exchange students feel welcome here at the University and in Waterloo. Throughout each term we will be creating fun opportunities for you to make meaningful connections with people from around the world!

Responsibilities

Marketing and Communications across campus for ICSN initiatives, events and engagement with students.
Managing all social media platforms and web presence, by making daily posts, and responding to direct messages.
Liaising with the WUSA Marketing department for design work, creation of posters, booking the poster run, and requesting any other general marketing material.
Largely responsible for the proofreading of WUSA Marketing work to ensure the correct information is provided.
Working with other UWaterloo departments/services/clubs to communicate information to our target audience (Includes SSO, BASE, Waterloo International, IPC, etc.).
Drafting all public communications to the email list regarding events, surveys or initiatives.
Drafting submissions for all residence life or international newsletters on campus
Drafts Social Media Strategic Plan alongside the WUSA Marketing department
Proofreading all communications for the ICSN executive team
Ensures any required documentation and requests made are directed to WUSA
Marketing in a timely manner prior to promotional campaigning on social media platforms
