Mental Health First Aid
Join our 9-hour course, certified by the Mental Health Commission of Canada.
Boost your confidence and gain practical, evidence-based skills to recognize mental health concerns and assist in crises. This facilitator-led, interactive course will equip you with the knowledge and tools to make a meaningful impact in supporting mental health.
Course Structure:
- Module 1: Self-directed (pre-requisite for live sessions) 1.5 hours- Focuses on information & strategies that participants will discuss and practice throughout the live classroom modules.
- Modules 2 & 3: Live classroom sessions (virtual ) 3.5 hours each- Course participants must complete module 1 before participating in live sessions.
Session Dates:
- March 1 & 2 | 1:00 PM – 4:30 PM (Virtual)
The deadline to register for any session is two weeks prior at 12:00 pm. Once you have registered, you will receive an introductory email with all course details at least 2 weeks in advance, including access to the self-guided module. Proof of completion of the self-guided must be emailed to mates@wusa.ca at least 48 hours in advance of the live session. To be eligible for certification, course participants must attend and complete all sessions.
