๐ŸŽค Hear from inspiring panelists โ€” four thought-provoking speakers, each offering unique insights into how social identities impact women’s lives. ๐ŸŒโœจ Each panelist will share their perspective on intersectionality.

๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿฝโ€๐Ÿซ Facilitators will guide the discussions, ensuring a rich and inclusive environment where all voices can be heard. Their expertise will help foster an open and engaging dialogue, creating space for thoughtful reflection and conversation.

Meet our facilitators:

Her work centers on decolonizing systems change and promoting alternative ways of knowing and being. Maryamโ€™s vast experience includes co-founding the Social Innovation Lab and Daftarkhwan, leading peace-building initiatives, and working as a Senior Fellow at Social Innovation Canada. She also teaches at the University of Waterloo and OCAD University, focusing on human rights law and social innovation.

Her research explores feminist and queer activism within social and digital media, and she is the author of The Art of Memes in Feminist Digital Culture. Shana brings a unique lens to the intersection of feminism, media, and activism, offering valuable insights into the ways digital culture shapes womenโ€™s experiences.

Samantha Fowler (she/her) is the Disability Inclusion Coordinator at the University of Waterloo and a PhD student studying at the intersections of digital rhetoric, critical disability studies, and science communication. As a Co-Founder of the STEM With Disabilities project and Co-Lead of the Ontario Summit for Students with Disabilities, Samantha is deeply invested in promoting accessibility and inclusivity, drawing from her personal experience as a disabled and neurodivergent individual.

As the Interim Director of Equity and Anti-Racism at the Office of EDI-R, Kimโ€™s work is at the forefront of advocating for systemic change that ensures equity and justice for marginalized communities.
