Hourly Rate: $14.50 plus .55 Night bonus

Reports To: Operations Manager, Student Life Centre

The Turnkey Desk is located on the campus of the University of Waterloo. It is a 24/7 service desk that has operated continuously since 1968 that provides students, staff and faculty with information, bus ticket and general assistance.

We are looking for an individual to work from Midnight to 8am, 4 to 5 days per week from Sunday night to Thursday night.

General Accountability: Reporting to the Operations Manager, Student Life Centre, the incumbent will assist in the management of the Turnkey Desk & Student Life Centre during the hours of 12am to 8am.

Nature and Scope:

It is vital that the incumbent work with a high degree of professionalism and courtesy when dealing with customers, clients and staff.

The Position will support and protect the goals and policies of the Waterloo Undergraduate Student Association and the University of Waterloo through consultation, coordination and close working relationship with other Turnkeys, Student Managers and members of the Waterloo Undergraduate Students Association management and administration teams.

Specific Accountabilities:

•Ensure all duties & responsibilities are completed

•Must be self-motivated and comfortable working alone

•Sell ticketed products as required subject to procedures & policies provided by carriers

•Provide general information to the campus population

•Some set up / tear down of Student Life Centre furnishings

•This position requires work in non-traditional hours for extended periods outside the course of a typical working day.

•Perform other duties as assigned

Assets:

•Knowledge of GO Transit, Presto, Greyhound & Grand River Transit

•Experience of working a POS system and credit & debit card terminals.

•Must have cash handling experience
