Elections Canada Service Agent:

On-Campus Voting, October 5 - 9

Using REVISE, the Service Agent provides revision and special ballot voting services to electors at the Extra Service Point voting locations on/near campus.

Requirements:

  • You must be a Canadian citizen
  • You must be at least 16 years old on election day
  • You must agree to refrain from any partisan political activity during the time of your employment
  • You must be available to attend a training session (paid)– some choice of session times, likely on October 3 or 4, dates and times to be confirmed

Job Duties:

  1. Receive, complete, verify and process revision and special ballot voting applications
  • Provide in-person revision and special ballot voting services
  • Verify identity/address provided by applicant
  • Enter all relevant information in REVISE system or on paper application forms, as provided
  • Print and verify information in REVISE Journal Reports; verify partners Journal Reports for completeness
  • Provide completed forms and Journal Reports to your supervisor for verification and follow-up
  1. Issue ballots to electors requesting a special ballot
  • Issue special ballot voting kits to electors once registered to vote by special ballot
  • Assist electors in casting their ballot, as needed
  1. Support ballot box management and ensure that documents, ballot boxes, ballots and materials are securely stored.
  • Keep materials organized and secure at all times
  • Manage ballot box content nightly with a supervisor present
  • Send/transfer outer envelopes to the Returning Office
  • Generate, print and manage reports

  • $19.35/hour
