Everyone knows that breakfast is the most important meal of the day - especially your Waterloo Undergraduate Student Association! That’s why hundreds of students gathered in the SLC Great Hall yesterday morning to enjoy a free breakfast, courtesy of Mel’s Diner (a local breakfast hotspot) and organized by WUSA.

“Warrior Breakfast is such an awesome event because it’s a great way to kick off the week in a positive way,” says WUSA special events coordinator Kierra Young. “It’s an inclusive event for all the students, and it’s hard to argue with a free breakfast!”

Young is right. First and upper year students alike lined up around the SLC to get a delicious variety of breakfast staples. Even better still, those who attended the event received a ballot for the top secret (but totally awesome) Welcome Week Grand Prize, and got to spin the wheel for an instant prize.

Missed out on yesterday’s breakfast but hungry for more food, more events, and more chances to win? You’re in luck! Warrior Breakfast was just the start of Welcome Week. It’s not too late for new and returning students to get involved in all the great things that Welcome Week has to offer.

Check out the rest of our Welcome Week lineup below:
