Women's Centre

The Social Director is responsible for the planning and implementation of social events for the general volunteers, which include volunteer socials each month during the term. Additionally, in collaboration with the Internal Directors, the Social Director will be responsible for running volunteer meetings and conducting volunteer interviews at the end of the term. Furthermore, the Social Director is responsible for purchasing appreciation gifts for volunteers and executives that are given to volunteers during their exit interviews. The Social Director will assist the Marketing Director to help promote and create the implementation of events on our social media platforms (Facebook and Instagram) as well as any online campaigns.

The ideal candidate for this position will have strong communication and social skills. In addition, the ideal candidate will have strong event planning and organizational skills. This position requires between 2-5 hours per week on average and strong sense of initiative. Furthermore, the successful candidate will be granted several opportunities to organize events of their choosing to advocate the mandate of the Centre and provide support for students on campus.
