MATES
Mates Wellness Lounge Volunteers are responsible for facilitating the Wellness Lounge in the Mates office. A wellness volunteer aims to create a welcoming, inclusive environment where students can engage in wellness activities, have a quiet place to complete school work and connect with other students. Wellness Lounge Volunteers are responsible for opening the office, setting up activities and supplies for students, interacting with students who drop-in, closing the office at the end day, and keeping the coordinators up to date on the wellness lounge.
Requirements for role:
Passion for mental health and wellness
Holds consistent weekly hours (2-3 hrs per week), plus additional 2 event hours over the term
Knowledge of Mates and other on-campus resources is an asset, but not required
