Why Wellness Days
Wellness Days was created to provide an opportunity for cross-campus support and shared responsibility for student wellness here at UWaterloo. The program provides a chance for transparent and continuing dialogue on the topic of wellness on campus.
We recognize that wellness is an ongoing concern for each and every person on the UWaterloo campus. As such, our Wellness Days program seeks to engage with our community on an ongoing basis, not just during times of high stress.
We also understand that our UWaterloo community is diverse and has different needs and wants when it comes to their wellness. With this in mind, our program has been designed to consider the different areas that contribute to a person's overall well-being.
Three Pillars
These three pillars are the key to a balanced and healthy lifestyle, and we're dedicated to helping you thrive in each area during your time at UWaterloo.
Physical Wellness
Healthy body, healthy life! Your physical wellness relates to exercise, healthy eating, sweating, moving, and connecting with others through healthy competition. Improving your physical wellness will give you the physical energy and endurance to get through the day, reach your goals, and prevent illness and injury.
Lifestyle Wellness
Lifestyle wellness covers it all - from your daily routine, your sleep patterns, and your eating habits to how you stay organized, budget your time and money, gain confidence, and build healthy relationships.
Mental Wellness
A healthy mind will help you deal with stress and anxiety in a constructive way, manage your mood, raise emotional awareness, and prioritize self care.
Upcoming Events
Wellness Days puts on events throughout the term to help you de-stress and focus on self-care. Watch this space for upcoming events from WUSA and our Wellness Days partners.
