By 6 pm\, hot drinks and fall treats will be served up on the SLC green.   \nWhen the sun dips\, the green will light up with lawn games and activities. You won’t want to miss this. Imaginus Posters is back in the Student Life Centre from Monday\, September 28th – Friday\, October 2nd!  \nHappening from 9 am – 8 pm\, Monday – Thursday and 9 am – 5 pm on Friday. \n  \n🚨 GIVEAWAY ALERT 🚨 \nGiveaway opens on Monday\, September 21 at 8 AM EDT and closes on Wednesday\, September 23\, 2026\, 12:00 PM EDT. \nHow to enter \nNo purchase required. \n(1) Follow the @savewithwusa Instagram account \n(2) Like the official giveaway grid post. \n(3) Tag a UW poster lover in the comments section of the same post. To amplify your chances of winning\, tag multiple friends in each comment! \nYou can tag only one friend per comment\, but you can add as many comments as you want. Before the workshop\, 28.6% of respondents rated their anxiety around creating a budget at 4 out of 5\, while saving money and filing taxes were also common concerns. \nThis session builds on that by looking at more than just budgets and numbers. After the workshop\, the share of respondents who felt knowledgeable about saving money increased from 28.6% to 71.4%\, and 100% said they would recommend the workshop to another student \nBuilding on that\, this session looks at what happens when life doesn’t go according to plan. This November\, self-formed teams and departments will compete to raise the most non-perishable food items and monetary donations to support students facing food insecurity. \n🥫 What’s It All About?\n\nTeams compete to earn points based on donations\nPoints are tracked using a system shared with all registrants\nThe winning team will receive a grand prize — to be announced soon!\nOpen to all UWaterloo staff and faculty — form a team with your department or colleagues!\n\n📅 Key Dates\n\nRegistration: October 1 – 31\, 2026 (closes at 11:59 PM)\nDonation Period: November 1 – 30\, 2026\nWinner Announced: December 4\, 2026\n\n👉 Register your team starting October 1 here\n💛 Why It Matters\nSo far this term\, WUSA’s Food Support Service has distributed over 500 food and hygiene hampers to students\, staff\, and faculty. With your support\, we can continue to provide custom hampers — including meat\, vegetarian\, halal\, kosher\, and hygiene options — to those who need them most. \nAll physical donations go directly into these hampers\, and monetary donations help us purchase additional essential items. \n📍 Drop-Off & Donation Info\n\nPhysical donations can be dropped off at designated campus locations — these will be shared with all registered teams.\nAccepted items include non-perishable food only.
