Join us at the Bike Auction\, hosted by the WUSA Bike Centre\, to bid on your next ride! \nDate: June 24\, 2026Location: SLC GreenTime: Starts at 12pm \nWhy You Should Come\n\nAffordable\, student-repaired bikes of all types\nBidding starts low\, perfect for student budgets\nOpen to everyone (Waterloo students\, staff\, and the community)\nLearn about the Bike Centre and sustainable transportation on campus\nChat with our student mechanics and get bike maintenance tips\nRegister the bike with Project 529 on the stop and take a step towards bike theft prevention\nBuy a discounted bike lock\, funded by Sustainable Transportation department\, to keep your bikes secure\n\nRepaired Auction Bikes\nAll bikes have been lovingly restored by Bike Centre volunteers and are ready for a new home. Come early\, bikes go fast! \nAs-is Auction Bikes\nLooking for a fun project this summer? We’ll also be auctioning off “As-Is” bikes\, a new addition to this year’s Bike Auction. \nEach one has been examined and diagnosed by our team\, with a list of needed repairs posted alongside. Whether you enjoy hands-on repair work or want to pick up a new skill\, these are a great option. Bring it to the Bike Centre to work on it with support from our team and make use of the free tools*. \nOwn a bike already\nCome anyway! Drop by to register your bike with Project 529 for free (bring your bike)\, get a discounted bike lock\, watch the auction\, and learn about the Bike Centre and other on-campus resources. \n  \nFAQs\nCan I preview the bikes before the auction starts? \n\nYes! Bikes will be available to view before the auction begins\, with information about each bike posted alongside.\n\nHow does bidding work? \n\nBidding price for repaired bikes start at $20.\nBids must increase in whole dollar amounts\, with a minimum raise of $1.\n\nIf I buy a bike\, can I come back later to pick it up? \n\nWinners must pay and collect their bike at the end of the auction.\n\nWhat if it rains? \n\nIn the event of rain or severe weather\, event details may change.
