SUMMARY:Food Services Focus Group: Meal Plan Review
DESCRIPTION:Food Services is looking for students to share feedback on the future of meal plans at the University of Waterloo. \nAs part of the Meal Plan Review\, Food Services is hosting an in-person focus group to hear directly from students about what kind of meal plan model would best support undergraduate students moving forward. \nThis review is not just for first-year students or those living in residence. It is meant to consider the needs of students across all years\, including commuters\, upper-year students\, and students with different schedules\, budgets\, and dietary needs. \nThis is your chance to share feedback on a service that affects you and many other students across campus. The focus group will look at how well the current meal plan is working\, whether it feels affordable\, flexible\, and easy to understand\, and what changes could better support students moving forward. \n⏰ Time Commitment\nThe expected time commitment for this in-person focus group is about six hours total throughout July and August. \n🎁 Participant Thank-You\nStudents who participate will receive a $30 W Store gift card as a thank-you for their time and input. \n📩 Interested in Taking Part?\nEmail the VPSE at vpse@wusa.ca and let them know you would like to take part in the Food Services Focus Group. \n

SUMMARY:CITT Conference Trip Registration
DESCRIPTION:We’re looking to run our first ever trip to an annual conference hosted by the Canadian Institute for Theatre Technology/Institut canadien des technologies scenographiques (CITT/ICTS). They are “a national arts service organization that actively promotes the professional development of its members and works
for the betterment of the Canadian Live Performance Community.” This conference moves from province to province every year; last two years were in Nova Scotia and Saskatchewan! Due to the conference taking place in Ottawa this year\, we applying to funding to cover the travel\, accommodations\, and conference pass. \nThe trip would run from August 11th until August 15th—providing 5 days and 4 nights filled with professional development opportunities\, from trade shows\, workshops\, panels\, networking events\, and more! The conference is a great step to supporting our students into their post-grad careers. \nEOI has granted us approx. $1700 for conference passes which we are asking them to disperse more evenly to the three different categories we applied for (travel\, accommodations and passes). We will be looking for more funding in July’s round but need the registration numbers to aid our proposals. \n– \nBy registering you are committing to a $64 deposit that would be returned when we confirm your attendance to the trip on August 11th or the cancellation of this trip. The only instance your money will not be returned is if the trip runs and you do not show up. \nWe request that you buy the ticket that suits your circumstances so that we have higher chances of getting funding for those who need it. \nAll attendees are required to complete the CITT Conference Registration Form and the CITT Conference Waiver.
