Join us on Thursday, February 2, 2023 for Imprint’s Officer Debate in the SLC Lower Atrium.
All candidates running for President and Vice President roles on the Board of Directors will take the stage to face questions from some student reporters at Imprint.
President candidates will hope they can convince fellow students they deserve the role by showing their experience and professionalism in their past interactions advocating for student issues to the university – and how they hope to do so in the future. Ensuring students are receiving high-quality education and that the university continues to build a community that cares about student safety and wellness will be normal work of the candidate who eventually becomes president.
Vice President candidates will aim to stand out by showing that they are the best pick to bring issues facing students to all levels of government. This might include their experience on different profiles like housing, student financial aid, and regulatory barriers faced by international students or students on co-op.
All candidates should be able to show how they have worked well in a team in the past as all advocacy decisions will be made by the board as a whole.
We hope to see you there!
