This event is a Japanese-inspired summer sports day designed to encourage teamwork, cultural engagement, and physical activity through fun and beginner-friendly outdoor games. Participants will be divided into teams and take part in traditional Japanese sports festival activities such as Three-legged race where teams will have to collaborate to get their pairs of two across the finish line first, Karimono Kyousou (Search and Borrow Game), where participants race to find a person or item matching a randomly selected prompt, and Water Balloon Toss, where each team will line up in a zig zag form so that there is someone across from them. Each team will toss water balloons in a zig zag form down their line and try to get as many into a bucket without popping them.

All games are recreational, supervised by organizers, and intended to promote an inclusive and welcoming environment for students.

To support participant safety and wellbeing, the event will include scheduled ten-minute cooling and hydration breaks between games. A refreshment station will provide water, prepackaged snacks, Pocari Sweat (a Japanese hydration drink), and Mugicha (cold barley tea) served in beverage dispensers. Students will also be encouraged to bring reusable water bottles. Activities will take place outdoors on grass, with clearly marked boundaries and volunteer supervision to help ensure safe participation and prevent overly competitive or unsafe play.
