📣 Calling all Warriors! It’s election season, so it’s time to learn about the candidates running for the 2024-2025 WUSA Board of Directors! 🌟 

The voting period begins on Monday, February 12th and runs until Wednesday, February 14th at 11:59pm. Until then, it’s important to explore candidate profiles and understand their platforms to make an informed voting decision. 

Wondering what the WUSA Board does? 🤔 

Focused on the overall wellbeing & strategic direction of WUSA and its impact on students, WUSA Board members make decisions that are in the best interest of the student body and WUSA.  

 How can YOU make a meaningful impact on the student body? By participating in the election!

WUSA Elections Voter Sweepstakes Contest 

Get ready for an exciting twist to this year’s student elections 🚨! We’re thrilled to announce the Student Elections Voting Contest, where every vote you cast automatically enters you into a draw to win incredible prizes 🎁. One lucky winner will take home a sleek MacBook Air and four lucky runners-up will win some exciting prize packs 🛍️! 

The contest runs through the voting days, from February 12th, 2024, 12:00 am to February 14th, 2024, 11:59 PM. Click here to vote now!

WUSA Elections Voter Sweepstakes: Official Contest Rules 

  1. Eligibility:
  • Open to all undergraduate students currently enrolled at the University of Waterloo. 
  • Participants must be legal residents of Ontario and have reached the age of majority. 
  • WUSA employees, board members, and their immediate family members are not eligible. 
  1. Contest Period:
  • Begins on February 12, 2024, at 12:00 AM and ends on February 14, 2024, at 11:59 PM. 
  1. How to Enter:
  • No purchase is necessary to enter or win. 
  • Eligible students automatically enter the sweepstakes upon submitting their vote for the WUSA elections within the contest period. 
  • One entry per student. 
  1. Prizes:
  • One (1) Grand Prize: One lucky winner will take home a sleek MacBook Air! 
  • Four (4) Student Prize Packs, each including: 
  • A prize pack from Flock Stop, featuring a $25 gift basket of their choice! The winner gets to decide what awesome items they want. 
  • Prize packs from WUSA’s UW Marketing Association [@uwmarketing] worth $50! 
  • Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. 


  1. Winner Selection and Winner Notification:
  • Winners will be selected in a random draw from all eligible entries. 
  • We will announce winners on Instagram, and they will have 24-48 hours (about 2 days) to claim the prize. 
  • Winners must also follow our Instagram (@yourWUSA) to avail their prize! 
  • Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. 
  • Failure to respond within the deadline may result in forfeiture of the prize.
  1. Conditions of Participation:
  • By entering, participants agree to abide by the contest rules and decisions of the WUSA election committee, which are final on all matters pertaining to the contest. 
  1. Privacy:
  • Personal information collected from entrants will be used by WUSA to administer the contest and prize fulfillment. 
  1. Limitation of Liability:
  • WUSA is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the contest. 
  1. Governing Law:
  • The contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited. 
  1. Amendments:
  • WUSA reserves the right to amend the contest rules or terminate the contest at any time without liability to any entrant.
