Battle of Waterloo Moot Cup

The Battle of Waterloo is the Unviersity of Waterloo Moot Court’s first-ever external moot cup! It will span over two days October 26th-27th, 2024, starting at 10:00 AM on the 26th till 4:00 PM on the 27th. We will be hosting a banquet at the end of the 26th from 5:30 PM-8:30 PM to announce day 1 winners and advancements.

Please note the banquet is reserved for competitors ONLY.

We are hosting an external competition between other universities and ours in debate-like rounds, each team of 2, presents a written submission to a judge and gets asked questions about their submission there are four non-elimination rounds on Day 1 moving towards 2 elimination rounds on Day 2. We will also be hosting a banquet after the rounds on Day 1 to announce winners and who is advancing to Day 2.

All attendees must fill out the following waiver and may not be admitted to the event if you have not filled it out. You will be emailed a confirmation after your submission.

WUSA recognizes that much of the work we do happens on the traditional territory of the neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. The land we work on is covered by the Between the Lakes Treaty, No. 3 (1792), and this region is still home to First Nation, Inuit, and Metis peoples from across Turtle Island.
